PAS2035: Helping you meet your goal first time, every time
Have you applied for—or secured funding through—an initiative such as the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) and are now looking for qualified retrofit professionals to carry out the work?
Energy Lock employs qualified, Trustmark-accredited Retrofit Assessors and Retrofit Coordinators to help implement retrofit improvements under PAS2035, the British Standard guiding energy efficiency retrofit projects.
PAS2035 means that we’ll assess each of your properties holistically. We’ll evaluate how your properties are used and their current energy efficiency, taking into consideration your end goal before recommending the most effective measures to help you meet this goal. This approach not only prioritises the overall health and energy efficiency of your property from the start, it means that your objectives are met.
Quite simply, we’ll tell you how to make the most of your budget and any funding you receive so you get the best outcome for your properties.
Retrofit Assessment
-
Gives you an overview of the property’s condition inside and outside.
-
Helps you understand the current energy efficiency of your property.
-
Provides recommendations for suitable measures for the property based on the survey findings.
-
Forms the foundation of good decision-making in a retrofit project.
Book a Retrofit Assessment with Air Tightness Testing
It’s beneficial to test if your properties have poor ventilation or if air is leaking where it shouldn’t. We offer this service (known as Air Tightness Testing) alongside a Retrofit Assessment. This means you can:
-
Get clear evidence of improved energy efficiency by testing your property's air tightness before and after completing any retrofit work.
-
Receive a more accurate Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating before and after retrofit measures are installed by getting more accurate air tightness figures.
-
Check and evidence that background ventilation is adequate and avoid installing unnecessary ventilation methods.
-
Obtain air tightness data to include within a PAS2035:2023 ventilation strategy.
Get peace of mind with an Energy Lock Retrofit Assessor: we’re certified by Trustmark, the only Government Endorsed Quality Scheme.
Retrofit Coordination
-
A Trustmark-accredited Coordinator will oversee your retrofit project from start to finish.
-
An Improvement Options Evaluation (IOE) will be produced to identify how to meet your target, while considering the property’s condition and occupancy.
-
Provides clarity on the cost of work versus the benefit that each improvement will bring.
-
Understand how a property could be further improved to meet Net Zero targets over a longer period of time with a Medium Term Improvement Plan (MTIP).
-
Plans the schedule of work, co-ordinates contractors, builders and installers.
-
Certifies that work is compliant with PAS2035.
-
Energy Lock Coordinators are communicative, client-focused and are your main point of contact who will guide you through the compliance process.
Why Choose Us?
Direct and timely communication
It’s annoying when you have to repeat the same question to different people involved in a retrofit project. That’s why we assign one point of contact for each of our clients for the duration of their project so you receive clear and up-to-date information. All queries are logged, tracked and responded to in a timely manner, ensuring you’ve got all the information you need at any point in the project.
Very high access and completion rates in the social housing sector
Sometimes Retrofit Assessments don’t go ahead at the scheduled time or date due to occupants forgetting about the evaluation. Energy Lock reduces these occurrences by:
-
Providing a fixed time slot.
-
Only booking one week in advance.
-
Sending reminder messages the day before.
Our commitment to completing the Retrofit Assessment on time ensures your project stays on deadline and helps you meet your target.
Respect and consideration for your property at all times
Respecting your property is our priority. Our team wears neoprene shoe covers while working inside, ensuring that dirt is contained. These covers effectively lock in dirt and moisture, allowing us to keep our shoes on while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
